exozet launches Android version of board game classic Carcassonne
exozet games and Advanced Mobile Applications (AMA) are proud to announce the release of the mobile version of the award winning tile-based board game Carcassonne on Android, BlackBerry and Java devices. Developed by exozet, Carcassonne is now available on Android Market and on carriers worldwide from August 2011.

The legendary game, created by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, was inspired by the southern French city of Carcassonne because of its unique roman and medieval fortifications. Just like in the original board game up to five players team up to develop the area around Carcassonne and deploy their follower pieces on the roads, in the cities, in the monastries, and in the fields. The skill of the players to develop the area will determine who is victorious.
The game includes the official expansion "The River II", which brings along additional features and strategic opportunities.
Carcassonne received the German "Game of the Year" award as well as the "Deutscher Spielepreis" when published in 2001. The game has spawned many expansions and several PC and console versions.
