For many years, the transport association of Berlin and Brandenburg, VBB, has been trusting our expertise as their digital lead agency, with the relaunch of the website as well – its central service tool. In line with our motto “We make people smile”, we have created a site that is fun to use – with a user-friendly front end and a highly performant back-end.


Simply likeable. The new website is uncluttered and playful all at once.

The transport association has a lot to offer – online as well because here, customers will not only quickly find out the best connection to their target location but also use numerous important information and services. Current timetable changes, tickets & fares, the mobile ticket in the VBB app, offers for tourists: All that and more can be found on the website. And to make sure that users don’t have to search for long, we have tidied up the page structure and the layout.

Perfect user experience. The passenger’s needs take priority.

The travel planner, VBB-Fahrinfo, is clearly the focus of the homepage: How do I get from A to B? With the VBB livemap, almost all bus and train journeys in the entire #VBBLand can be viewed in realtime. Based on the current traffic situation, users can make more informed decisions on which of the many public transport options they want to choose.

All other information and services are divided into five areas, of which the first two will probably be the most interesting for passengers: Timetables and ticket fares. The menu items immediately appear upon mouse-over – which means that users only need one click to reach the desired information. It could not be faster or clearer!

Besides the clear structure, the modern look is also great fun for the user. The design is light and pleasant and brings in characteristic elements with the bright VBB red and animated illustrations. That way, the transport association’s corporate identity comes alive. That the mobility service provider’s website can also be used perfectly on the move goes without saying. Our responsive design takes care of that.

High performance. Thanks to new front-end and back-end technologies.

VBB unites many partners – and correspondingly a lot of data and information. That’s why we have not only optimized the customer’s user experience for the new website but also the technologies and workflows for everyone involved with keeping the content up to date. A new content management system as well as interfaces to partner and third-party systems now make the work for the editorial team even easier and more efficient.
