In 2017, we developed a mobile VR app with Mack Media that really makes you want to visit Europa‑Park. From their home, users can immerse themselves in the virtual worlds of the amusement park. On their sofa, they can experience what a roller coaster ride feels like in the combination of the real experience with a fictional, animated story.

That is exactly what makes Europa‑Park so special: On selected roller coasters, visitors can wear VR glasses and experience an exciting ride through virtual landscapes and stories.

In the Coastiality app, users can watch the rides as two-dimensional 360° videos or experience them with VR glasses in immersive Cardboard mode. That attracts not only park visitors, but also VR fans. Virtual roller coaster rides are very popular, and guests are often willing to pay a little extra for them. And if you can’t stand staying on the sofa anymore, you can buy your ticket for the virtual ride in the park directly in the app. It couldn’t be more comfortable!
